Part I: Compliance Program Requirements
This educational experience is designed to provide the practicing chiropractic physician with an understanding of the OIG’s compliance program requirements. Each requirement is discussed with examples of regulatory standards, monitoring and auditing processes; providing a comprehensive view of how a compliance program should operate.
Length: Approximately 84 minutes

Part II: Enrollment and Participation
This educational experience is designed to provide the practicing chiropractic physician with an understanding of Medicare’s enrollment and affiliation rules for providers. The OIG Exclusion Authorities are discussed as well as the inability for an opt-out for chiropractic providers.
Length: Approximately 56 minutes

Part III: Federal Healthcare Regulations
This educational experience is designed to provide the practicing chiropractic physician with an understanding of federal healthcare regulations including Stark Law, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback, and financial discounts. Professional courtesy policy is discussed and the elements of a compliant financial policy.

Part IV: Documentation Requirements & The OIG Work Plan
​This educational experience is designed to provide the practicing chiropractic physician with an understanding of the documentation requirements set for in the Medicare Benefit Policy Guidelines. A review of the guidelines is provided and key elements discussed regarding compliance to these guidelines for an initial and subsequent visit.

This educational experience is designed to provide the practicing chiropractic physician with an understanding of the importance the content within the OIG’s Work Plan. The OIG is the watchdog for the Medicare Trust Fund and every six months the agency develops a work plan to protect this fund from fraud, waste and abuse. Learn about the OIG’s concern regarding chiropractic services provided to Medicare beneficiaries and what the appropriate actions that are necessary to comply with OIG and Medicare requirements.

Part V: Quality Payment Program
This educational experience is designed to provide the practicing chiropractic physician with an understanding of Medicare’s Quality Payment Program. A review of the most recent final rule regarding the QPP and the impact to the chiropractic clinician.
